Copper Avenue NE overview

Copper Avenue NE transects the northern portion of Albuquerque, New Mexico’s Huning Highland Historic District, as it extends five blocks from Arno Street NE to Locust Street NE.

Only a handful of historic structures are encountered within the Copper Avenue NE corridor, and one can generally expect to find them near alley entrances. The 600 block of Copper Avenue NE contains three structures, including one property that not only contributes to the historical significance of the Huning Highland Historic District, but is also considered to be significant historical resources on its own merit. Of the remaining two structures, one contributes to the historical significance of the HHHD and the other does not.
