The 400 block of Arno Street SE contains a dozen historic properties. While at least ten properties contribute to the historical significance of the Huning Highland Historic District, two are also considered to be significant historical resources on their own merit.

The block also contains a couple of oddities that presented themselves as data was being compiled for this online inventory. The “official” Huning Highland Historic District boundary map does not depict a structure at 400 Arno SE, so it is unknown at present whether that was an oversight, or if possibly this building has been relocated from elsewhere as there are a few “missing structures” noted on the map.

Also, the structure at 420 Arno SE was identified on the map as 403 Coal SE. We are hoping that a reader who has that information will provide the details surrounding that difference. With that in mind, please click on the links below for photos and to discover or contribute to the recorded histories of these properties.
